We seek a highly motivated candidate to help with research for Strategy Risks. Candidates who either have or are working toward a degree in international relations, political science, public policy, business, finance, or a related field will be highly considered. The ideal candidate commands a strong understanding of China and the private sector. Reading proficiency in Chinese is desired, but not required.Responsibilities Include:Conduct research on and analysis of American companies operating in ChinaOrganizing large amounts of data, which will also involve technical writing and comparing index modelsAssisting Director of Research and CEO with various other research tasks as assignedRequired Knowledge, Education, and Experience:Undergraduate or graduate degree requiredStrong English-language writing and communication skills, effective critical thinking, and strong attention to detailStrong understanding of China and the private sectorRelated work experience desirable but not requiredOutstanding research and writing skillsExcellent data analysis skillsExperience living in, working on, or studying ChinaSelf-starter and ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProficiency in MS Office Suite and G SuiteThe ability to work 10-15 hours per week with flexibility for additional hours, as requiredThe Research Assistant role is a paid position that involves the use of a personal phone and laptop.
