Director, Marketing and Communications

Strategy Risks seeks a motivated individual to direct the company’s marketing and communications operations and social media pages. Professionals with at least 5-8 years of experience in communications, media, journalism, political science, or a similar area of study will be highly considered. Strong background, interest, and understanding of China and other sanctions and compliance targets is required. Responsibilities Include:Produce content for social media and company website that is relevant to Strategy Risks customers and potential customersCreate and update Strategy Risks’ marketing material to convey understanding of our products/services, mission, and teamPromote Strategy Risks through advertising, sponsorship, and advertisements in relevant trade press and conferences/eventsProduce content for social media and company website that is relevant to Strategy Risks customers and potential customersDevelop and oversee the Strategy Risks brand identity Create a calendar of production planning with a focus on LinkedIn and TwitterOversee and organize events on important topics for our clients and potential clients, i.e., virtual updates on Xinjiang legislationOversee internal and external communications for the firm Other duties and responsibilities as the company may determineDesired Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:Strong understanding of international affairs with an emphasis on US-China relations and other sanctions and compliance targetsSolid editorial judgment and writing/editing skillsProven responsibility overseeing marketing publications and event organizationProven success in collaboration with remote teamsStrong social media skills with a focus on LinkedIn and TwitterExperience building and maintaining media contact list and writing press releases and  strategizing on media placement for senior executivesExperience with Salesforce and other CRM technologies preferredThis is a remote, full-time position with flexible scheduling.
