China Research Manager

We seek a highly motivated candidate to manage and conduct research for Strategy Risks. Candidates who have experience working with China and reading proficiency in Chinese are highly desired. A degree in international relations, political science, public policy, business, journalism, or a related field will be considered. The ideal candidate is an experienced and organized researcher and project manager who commands a strong understanding of China.Responsibilities Include:Manage research projects: plan, organize, and direct the completion of specific research projectsEnsure research projects are completed on time and within scopeReview, fact-check, and edit research produced by other members of the teamManage various research-related resources and databases created by the teamResearch and analyze the risks that American and global companies face in ChinaUndertake other research team projects under the direction of the Research DirectorDesired Knowledge, Education, and Experience:3-5 years of experience in a relevant field, with qualitative and quantitative research experienceAt least 1 year of experience managing research projectsStrong English-language writing and communication skillsEffective critical thinking and strong attention to detailOutstanding research and data analysis skillsStrong understanding of China and the private sectorExperience living in, working on, or studying ChinaReading proficiency in Chinese is strongly preferred, but not requiredSelf-starter and ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExperience collaborating with diverse groups of peopleProficiency in MS Office Suite and relevant research technologiesThe China Research Manager role is a full-time paid position. This is a remote position with flexible scheduling.
