China Research AnalystStrategy Risks seeks highly motivated candidates to conduct a broad range of research tasks with a China focus. Effective critical thinking, high level of professional writing, and relevant research experience with all-source or open-source disciplines are a must. Candidates who have academic studies and/or work experience with a regional focus on China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and East Asia are preferred. Reading proficiency in Chinese is required. Responsibilities Include:Conduct open-source research in English and Chinese on a wide range of topics Write polished analytical reports in EnglishOrganize large amounts of data, including economic and market/industry data Assist Strategy Risks heads of research with various other research tasks as required Required Skills and Experience:Reading proficiency in modern Chinese-language mediaStrong English-language writing, communication and interview skills, and strong attention to detail Outstanding research and analysis skills with a strong attention to detailUndergraduate Degree requiredDesired Knowledge, Education, and Experience:Knowledge of open-source information sources and excellent internet research skillsStrong understanding of China’s economic and political landscapeGraduate degree and relevant research experienceExperience living, working or studying in China, Hong Kong or TaiwanSelf-starter and ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentResearch Analyst roles are full-time paid positions and are predominantly remote positions with flexible scheduling.
